چکیده
The present study investigates the creep behavior of water tank manufactured from Polypropylene (PP) and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) polymeric material at 40 °C using ANSYS simulation software. Creep fracture is one major industrial problems for a product used long period time. analysis software ways to predict life durability plastic with low cost may help in optimizing its design. PP HDPE tanks were commonly storing household applications. In this paper, designed an academic 3-Dimensional SOLIDWORKS WORKBENCH analyzing strain developed CAD model. modelled was tetrahedron meshed simulated static structural varying hydrostatic pressure applied on inner walls tank. base constrained fixed. analytical model based modified time hardening implemented analyze strain. From simulation, equivalent (Von-Misses) Stress, total deformation observed obtained strain-time graph materials over it that more resistant than as stress less compared HDPE. limiting well good agreement comparison maximum calculated database.

Investigation on mechanical properties of composite made of sawdust and high density polyethylene
In this research, the effect of wood species and particle size on mechanicalproperties of wood plastic composites (WPC) made of fir (Abies alba) and beech(Fagus orientalis L.) sawdust and high density polyethylene (HDPE) wereinvestigated. Wood plastic composite (WPC) were made with 30% HDPE in abatch process at 185˚C, at two particle sizes of 40 mesh and 80 mesh. Maleicanhydride polypropylene (...
متن کاملCreep Evolution Analysis of Composite Cylinder Made of Polypropylene Reinforced by Functionally Graded MWCNTs
Polypropylene is one of the most common, fastest growing and versatile thermoplastics currently used to produce tanks and chemical piping systems. Even at room temperature creep is considerable for polypropylene products. The creep behavior of strains, stresses, and displacement rates is investigated in a thick-walled cylinder made of polypropylene reinforced by functionally graded (FG) multi-w...
متن کاملPreparation and Compatibility Evaluation of Polypropylene/High Density Polyethylene Polyblends
This study proposes melt-blending polypropylene (PP) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) that have a similar melt flow index (MFI) to form PP/HDPE polyblends. The influence of the content of HDPE on the properties and compatibility of polyblends is examined by using a tensile test, flexural test, Izod impact test, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTI...

Modeling benzene permeation through drinking water high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes.
Organic compounds such as benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and o-, m-, and p-xylene from contaminated soil and groundwater may permeate through thermoplastic pipes which are used for the conveyance of drinking water in water distribution systems. In this study, permeation parameters of benzene in 25 mm (1 inch) standard inside dimension ratio (SIDR) 9 high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes were ...
